Van's approves my fix
So if you read my past couple of post, you will see I screwed up and countersunk the bottom part of both flanges of the VS rear spar when I should not have below the bottom edge of the VS skin. I talked to Van's today and they gave me clearance to use AN426 flush rivets instead of the AN470 universal head rivets called out by the plans in those holes. Since I also countersunk those holes deep enough to accept a skin dimple, the countersinks are too deep for the AN426AD3 rivets and Van's also stated that I could move up to a AN426AD4 rivet since I have edge distance of 2 diameters on the rear spar cap strips.
So no new parts are required!
Build on!
